Erotokritos Kalogeratos
I started writing eBooks as a means of escaping reality, crafting my own universe where I could control every detail—the characters, the rules, the endings. It was a retreat from the unpredictability of the real world, a space where my imagination could roam freely without constraints. But as I immersed myself in this creative journey, I stumbled upon the statement by King Alfonso XI: “Burn old wood, drink old wine, read old books, have old friends.” At first, it seemed like a romantic ode to tradition, a call to cherish the wisdom and comfort of the past. Yet, old books may hold timeless truths, but new stories challenge conventions, introduce fresh perspectives, and push boundaries.
Writing eBooks became my rebellion against the modern world. I didn’t want to just consume the past; I wanted to contribute to the future. In the end, my journey into writing was more than an escape; it was a realization that the future belongs to those who dare to create it.
